Paul was part of a church planting team that began Cariboo Community Church in 1999.
Participating in God’s Mission is Paul’s heart beat. Mobilizing the church to creatively engage in our community and world is what he envisions and shares. Paul loves spending time with his family, reading, listening to world music and eating bannock. He is a distant enduring fan of the Seattle Seahawks and passionately loves Fiji rugby.

Elders
James (Jim) Tanis - I am an elder because I believe in the mission and vision of CCC. It is the mission and vision that Jesus commands and expects his disciples to pursue: to go and make disciples. I love the people of this church, this town, this region and our world. I am a cabinetmaker at one of the local cabinet companies. I don't have 1 favorite verse, I have a favorite book in The Bible, 1 John.
Paul Zacharias - Currently I am honored to be an Elder here at Cariboo Community Church. I am self employed in the construction and recycling industries. A favorite Bible verse of mine is found in Thessalonians 4:11-12
Sheldon Kehler - I am an elder because in this way I wish to help in guidance and leadership of my local church. I and my wife Gwen have worked as Bible Translators and facilitating literacy for the past 29 years. One of my many favourite Bible passages is Joshua 1:8-9

Deacons
Fani Neuert - I'm a deacon to let God show me ways to help people in the church and community. I love helping people on the margins to find their way. Outside of volunteering at the church I work in retail. My favorite Bible verse is 1 Chronicles 29: 11-13
Marcello Gosgnach - I feel that God has called me to "step up". By this I mean, serve Him and His Son Jesus. I feel God calling me to help and care for others, who either know him personally, or do not know Him at all. I am a self-employed small business owner. My favorite verse is Philippians 1:21
Richard Lyoness I was a little hesitant at first to take on the title of deacon, but decided to do so since I was somewhat doing the work of a deacon anyways. For over forty years I worked as a welder in fabrication shops or in construction with pipefitters in many industrial settings. My favorite Scripture is 1 Timothy 5:1-8
Masiu Fine - I am a deacon at CCC because after praying about it I felt called to the role. During the day I work with the WL Association for Community Living and travel for short term missions at least 1x a year. My favorite verse is Joshua 1:9
